wanted: wordpress genius

Anyone know how to run two blogs under the same wordpress? Or, let me rephrase that: I want to have sections on my site, like a page will only have fashion posts, another page will have home posts, etc. How do I do so?

Please keep in mind I suck at CSS.

There will be no compensation, but I will love you forever.

2 Thoughts.

  1. Do you want the different sections to have different designs? If so, you’ll probably need multiple blogs. I don’t think WordPress can handle multiple stylesheets within the same blog. Anyway, I’ve set up about 10 WordPress blogs by now. Maybe I could help you out? Send me an e-mail if you’re still looking for someone.

  2. Easy. You just need to assign your posts to a category, then have category specific templates set up for it. Eg, create a category called ‘cooking’, now find the id# of that category, say it is #10 – create a file in the root of your theme folder called category-10.php – in that file just have the usual wordpress loop code and hey presto, whenever someone goes to your site at the url /cooking it’ll only display those posts assigned to that category, since the wordpress template heirarchy says ‘look for a file called category-10’ first.
